The Sacrifice.
Many scriptures hit home. Many are my favorite. But anytime we take the Lords Supper on Sunday, this scripture pops up during a moment of silence and remembrance.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.
It always brings a tear to my eye. The sacrifice. The love. The pain Jesus endured to save us from sin. Our Lord and Savior simply wants us to be saved.
That’s not asking a lot compared to the suffering he went through on the cross to cleanse us from our sin. He gave us a way to Heaven. Take the opportunity that is given to you. Go to a service and see for yourself. Give Jesus a chance to make your life better!
Acts 2:38–41
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
