Silent Support

Silent Support

Today is one of those days…
the kind where doubt creeps in.

I’ve worked hard—
three years into my blog.

I just started a Facebook page for RealTalkChristian.
Nineteen followers.

I’m writing a supernatural horror novel on the side.
I’ve committed to Bible classes this fall.

And today?
I cut my hair—short in the back. Bold. Different.
No regrets.

I feel like a new person.
Confident. Happy. Free.

And of course…
I wanted to share that with the world.

But social media?
It doesn’t always respond.
No likes. No comments. Just silence.

And I’d be lying if I said
that silence doesn’t speak loudly.

I know I shouldn’t let it affect me.
And truthfully, the people who matter most—
my husband, my close circle—
they support me completely.
And I’m grateful for that.

But there’s something about the silence of others…
the ones who watch but don’t say a word.

Still—
what they don’t realize is this:

That silence fuels me.

It pushes me.
It sharpens my focus.
It reminds me that I’m not here to be average.

I’m here to grow.
To reach.
To become more.

I refuse to settle.

So to the silent ones…
thank you.

You’ve given me more motivation
than you’ll ever understand.
